A big congrats to Jake for completing the perfect season and taking his women's team all the way, defeating Marquette for the 1A State Championship this past weekend.
The Panthers held Marquette to a scoreless draw through regular time and then through two overtime periods, after which they would defeat them 3-2 in PKs. Manteno's defense was dominate, as they took the match despite only managing 1 shot on goal the entire game. Panthers goalie Aryn Newsome made 14 saves to lead Manteno to Victory.
Congrats to our boy Jake on a job well done and a championship well deserved! Now enjoy your lazy summer you bastard.
