Weekly Game Picks, Week 2

Carolina over Atlanta - The Panthers bounce back after a disastrous week one, playing on the road is actually a plus for Jake Delhomme, and I'm still not sold on Atlanta's run defense

Minnesota over Detroit - Another rough game for Matthew Stafford and the Lions, the Vikings win this one going away

Green Bay over Cincinnati - I wouldn't be surprised to see a Bangles upset, but I don't have any confidence in their offensive line to deal with the exotic blitzes that Dom Capers will throw at them, GB over Cincy in a close one

Tennessee over Houston - While Houston's offense will rebound, their defense is still one of the worst in the league, the Titans running game carries them to a win.

Oakland over KC - Oakland's defense is quietly becoming a nice unit, especially with the edition of Richard Seymour, Matt Cassell's first week back will be one to forget.

New England over New York Jets - The much hyped Mark Sanchez will come back down to earth this week, although it will be a close one, the Pats pull it out.

New Orleans over Philadelphia - The McNabbless Eagles won't be able to hang with Drew Brees and co.

Washington over St. Louis - The Skins should bounce back nicely against a St. Louis team that is playing too sloppy to earn a win on the road.

Jacksonville over Arizona - The Jags played well last week and held the Colts to only 14 points, This week the offense gets on track and they dominate the Cardinals, old man Warner coughs up at least a few turnovers.

Seattle over San Francisco - The Niner's homers are too high on this team, the offense is still anemic and the defense isn't quite good enough to allow them to beat the Seahawks, who might be one of the best teams in the NFC this season.

Tampa Bay over Buffalo - The Bills suffer another letdown after dropping the Monday Nighter to New England, Trent Edwards is too conservative to test the Tampa Defense downfield where it is weak, chalk up a win for the Bucs.

Denver over Cleveland - The Revamped Broncos defense should hold Quinn and co. in check, allowing the Broncos to escape in another close one.

San Diego over Baltimore - Philip Rivers should be able to have some success against a Ravens defense that didn't quite look like itself against the Chiefs, and LT being out is actually a plus since Daren Sproles will be a much better weapon against the Ravens.

New York Giants over Dallas - The Dallas defense looked surprisingly suspect in week one, more the same in week two as the Giants spoil the Cowboys home opener in their new stadium.

Chicago over Pittsburg - Hardest game of the week to call, Cutler was ridiculously bad in week one, his INT total could have hit the 6-8 range if Tarmon Williams could actually catch. Yet the Bears still almost found a way to win before giving away the game with an inexplicable fake punt call, or a botched attempt to catch the Packers with 12 men on the field, depending on how you're looking at it. Although I hope it doesn't happen, I do think they bounce back this week against PIT.

Monday Nighter - Indy over Miami - I could see a Miami upset with crazy running plays, but I just don't think so, Indy takes the game.
