Cincinnati over Pittsburgh – The Bangles have more sacks and more rushing yards than the Steelers through the first two weeks of the season, while the Steelers usually perform well in Cincinnati, I think the Bangles scrap it out for a win.
Washington over Detroit – Most of the taking heads and MSM folks are picking the Lions for the upset so that’s a clear sign that Washington will win going away… the Skins still have a top 10 defense and the Lions offense and rookie Matthew Stafford are anemic, an easy call.
Minnesota over San Fran – San Fran has started 2-0 each of the last 2 seasons, and then proceeded to drop the next 6 games. They won’t drop 6 in a row this year, but they won’t beat a Vikings team who will expose their offense for what it is, one of the worst units in the league.
New England over Atlanta – While these are two teams headed in different directions, Beliheck doesn’t lose two in a row, and the Atlanta defense is still suspect. Atlanta might be the better team next time around, but this one has Pats written all over it.
Tennessee over New York – The Titans are disparate for a win, and NYJ is still hungover from their Super Bowl win over the Pats. Chris Johnson gashed Rex Ryan’s Baltimore defense in last season’s AFC title bout before he was injured, look for more of the same this week.
New York Giants over Tampa Bay – While the Bucs offense has been surprisingly decent, the defense is imploding upon itself, things won’t get any easier when the Giants roll into town.
Green Bay over St. Louis – I wanted to pick the Rams in an upset win, but it’s hard to imagine them generating enough offense to stay with the Pack.
Baltimore over Cleveland – Lock of the week right here, easy win for the Ravens. Brady Quinn and Jamarcus Russell are racing to see which one can earn the first round bust title quickest.
Jacksonville over Houston – I still believe in the Jags as a playoff team, they finally show up this week against Houston whose offense isn’t as good as advertised, and defense is as bad as advertised. Troy Williamson getting put on IR is actually a major plus for this team, who have a better talent in Mike-Sims Walker behind him.
Chicago over Seattle – Normally I would be picking the Seachickens but their injury report is already as long as an Obama bail-out bill, Bears will roll in a close one.
New Orleans over Buffalo – The Saints hand out their 3rd trashing in a row.
Denver over Oakland – While the Raiders sometimes come alive in the black hole, Jamarcus Russell is digressing, and the pass protection is so bad that they have keep the team’s best offensive weapon (TE Zach Miller) into block. Neckbeard is becoming more comfortable in the Denver O, and Knowshon Moreno is due for a breakout, Broncos roll to 3-0.
San Diego over Miami - Antonio Gates should have his way with a Miami secondary that was eviscerated by Dallas Clark and while Miami can pound the rock, they won’t be able to keep pace with the Chargers high-powered attack.
Indy over Arizona – Peyton Manning showed he needed only a quarter of football to put up almost 30 points; Arizona will give him many more opportunities, this one’s a shoot out but the Colts will come away with the win.
Carolina over Dallas – Grand Executor Jerry Jones came out to defend his errant QB, but the list of Tony Romo detractors grows every week. The Dallas defense has been surprisingly porous, and since they couldn’t cover Steve Smith last week, the real Steve Smith will cause them even more problems. Picking Carolina for the 3rd straight week and they better not let me down this time.
